Antonio Sciancalepore
A solid instrumentalist graduated in 1985 after studying with Professor E.Benzi in the city of Alessandria. From'86 to '96 Mr. Sciancalepore was a member of the RAI National Symphony Orchestra. Since 1996 he is first Double Bass of the Santa Cecilia Symphony Orchestra in Rome. He is a very active soloist, chamber musician and eno-gastronomical player. |
Amerigo Bernardi
Graduated from the Conservatory L.Cherubini in Florence, studying with Professor L.Lanzilotta. A young vulcanic talent, he is active in several chamber ensembles in Italy and abroad. He plays as Principal Bassist with the Orch.del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino,with the Orch. Symphonica A.Toscanini of Parma, with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. Mr.Bernardi is an extremely eclectic musician, receptive to the most varied musical genres.His istrionic character gives to the quartet's performances an exciting atmosphere. |
Alberto Bocini
Studied at the "Conservatorio L. Cherubini " in Florence with Professor A.Brandi and continued under the guidance of Franco Petracchi. He played as Principal in several leading italian and international symphonic and lyric orchestras, including Teatro alla Scala; Orch. dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia; London Symphony Orchestra. He is courrently Principal Bassist in the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. He recorded as soloist for Nippon-Denon, Velut Luna, Arts Music and NBBrecords,a label born from an idea by Alberto Bocini, a trade-mark which deals with the double-bass and its satellites. |
Andrea Pighi
Graduated from the Morlacchi Conservatory in Perugia, studying wiht Professor C. Penta. After much experience as a soloist and orchestral musician, with a repertory ranging from jazz to pop music and, since 1989, he is a member of the Santa Cecilia Symphony Orchestra in Rome. Mr. Pighi is also active as a chamber musician in Italy and abroad. He arranged and transcribed most of the quartet's music. |
